People-Trak University (PTU) is your resource for learning People-Trak. We offer a variety of training environments to accomodate different styles of learning, and much of it is free of charge for actively supported clients. Go to the Support site to view upcoming training webinars.
PTU Virtual Classroom training offers the essential product training for every HR user in People-Trak. The venue was created to mirror a traditional college course. In this case, the course lecture is offered live via an online classroom using WebEx. Going to class is a simple matter of connecting to the classroom environment with your PC. The class is held on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule in 2-hour sessions, and is designed to be completed in a four-week period with each participant enrolled separately.
Dedicated Instructor is an excellent way for one or two students to receive more personal attention while they complete the same Essentials training described above, and move at a faster pace. Dedicated Instructor offers a very low student-teacher ratio. When there are two or more students in a session, the students share a single PC and alternate who actually performs the lessons under trainer supervision. The Essentials sessions may be scheduled one of three ways.
Total hours scheduled will average at 18, not exceeding 20 hours.
We also offer Dedicated Instructor for Strategic features. Due to the complexity of the subject matter, the class is broken down into three different session options.
Total hours scheduled will average at 12, not exceeding 14 hours.
Sometimes you just need a People-Trak expert to help with specific tools. We now offer one-on-one time with a trainer on a topic of your choice. You could cover query and reporting, and become a master of our powerful report writer. You could get help setting up modules, such as attendance, benefits, position control, or training administration so they fit your organization like a glove. Finally, you can spend some time setting up process automation tools with the Strategic Toolkit features (triggers, custom screens, and workflows). Minutes spent with these tools can turn into hours saved for your company.
Our Continuing Education courses are for users who would like to jumpstart their use of People-Trak, but are unable to make a commitment to a longer class. It's a great opportunity to pick and choose what's right for you, in small pieces. These courses cover basic and advanced features, and are recommended for any People-Trak users. For students who prefer a real classroom environment, without the travel, we offer Customer Site training. This format offers an accelerated training pace at your site or a site you designate, for up to eight (8) participants. For larger groups, this is an ideal method to save money on travel and to remain close to your work while being trained.
Regional Trainings are held at designated hotel conference centers chosen by the volume of customers in the vicinity, or at our headquarters in Bonsall, CA (view travel accommodations). There will be limited seating and these will be announced in ample time for you to make arrangements to attend. The training environment will involve two (2) students per shared computer working through the class and lessons together, over the course of a 3-day period.
